How To Get The Most From Your Soap Bars

Buying natural soap bars is not only great for your skin but they are also an more eco friendly alternative to buying liquid soap due to the plastic packaging. They can be slightly more expensive than your standard liquid soap however they do last and people are finding many ways to get their most out of their beautiful soap bars. Here are a few tips you can try. 

Use a soap dish or a container. 

Storing your soap in something that encourages air flow like a soap dish or container rather than a solid ledge will allow the water to drain off and the soap can dry.  Each brand will probably have their own container to fit their bars. Ethiques compostable shower containers are made with bamboo & corn-starch and come in a range of bright colours.

Store your soap away from water

Allowing your soap bar to remain wet will cause it to break down faster. So don’t store your soap bar near running water, perhaps also place at the opposite end of the shower so it dries faster. 

Make you own closet freshener

Dry out your old scented soap ends and place in a little bag. Hang them in your wardrobe or into your drawers and your clothes will always smell fresh and clean. 

Make liquid soap

Save that old soap dispenser than ran out to use for later. Collect your slivers of soap and put them in a blender with a bit of water. Blend for about 20 seconds on a medium setting. Add more water until you achieve a creamy texture and re-fill your soap dispensers.
