5 Ways To Eat Chia Seeds


Chia Pudding 

To make chia pudding simply soak 1/4 cup (40 grams) of chia seeds in 4 cups of milk or almond milk for 20–30 minutes. You can add cacao powder or vanilla for a little extra flavour. Top with fruit or carob nibs, the possibilities are endless…….

Chia Smoothies

Follow the steps above but soak chia seeds in water, you can then add your chia jelly to any smoothie or shake. 

Chia Brekkie 

Some people will leave their chia seeds to soak in milk or almond milk in the refrigerator overnight. In the morning you simply add fruits, nuts and honey or cinnamon for a quick and simple breakfast.

Chia Bliss Balls 

Add chia seeds to your favourite bliss ball recipes for a little crunch and extra nutritional value. Try chia seeds, almonds and soaked dates. Simply mix in a blender and roll into balls and pop them into the fridge to set. 

Strawberry Chia Jam - recipe from www.healthiersteps.com

Add them to your homemade jam recipe. Place chopped strawberries, orange juice, maple syrup and lemon juice in a small saucepan on medium high heat. Bring jam to boil, mash the mixture, allow to simmer and then stir in chia seeds and remove from heat. Place in a mason jar and allow to cool and thicken.
