Ginger & Lemon

Ginger is a superfood that helps to promote good digestion, lowers the risk of infections and lowers inflammation in the body. It is a common natural treatment for stomach and gut issues, such as bloating, IBS, flatulence, and indigestion. Juicing ginger with other fruits and vegetables can help increase the movement of food through your stomach, improve indigestion, decrease bloating, and reduce intestinal cramping as it stimulates digestive acids and secretions.

Lemons also promotes good digestion. They are a great source of Vitamin C and phytonutrients and are high in a fibre called pectin – a probiotic that can assist good gut health.

 

Turmeric

Turmeric is full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory agents and healing compounds. Curcumin which is the main ingredient in turmeric helps stimulate the gallbladder to produce bile. Juicing fresh turmeric root can help alleviate indigestion, bloating and gas.

 

Mint

Mint also stimulates the salivary glands in the mouth as well as glands that secrete digestive enzymes, therefore helping with the process of digestion.
