Five Summer Juice Recipes

 

Summer is finally here! Can’t you just feel the warmth on your skin, and the air becoming warmer by the day?

Fresh cold-pressed juice is a great and easy way to support your health and keep you as 'cool as a cucumber' during the long, hot summer days.

Here are some of my favourite juices that will kickstart your day this summer, paired perfectly with a delicious smoothie or super food bowl.

 

1. Summer Sunset Juice

You will need:
1/4 beetroot
4 oranges
1/4 watermelon

1. Wash beetroot and peel oranges and watermelon.
2. Feed produce into juicer. If you want to get the sunrise affect, you need to juice straight into the jar, juice the oranges
first then the watermelon then the beetroot.
3. Serve ice cold. Drink immediately.

 

Watermelon Refresher

You will need:
1/4 of a watermelon
1/2 of a lime

1. Wash produce, slice rind off watermelon
2. Feed the watermelon and lime through a juicer
3. Drink immediately or store in a tight sealed glass jar for up to 8 hours in the fridge

 

3. Golden Sweet 'Agua Fresca' Juice

You will need:
2 cups chopped pineapple
2 large cucumbers

1 green apple
8-10 mint leaves
1/2 thumb size ginger
1 lime
2 cups water (spring or mineral)
2 tablespoons maple syrup (or agave nectar)

1. Wash produce thoroughly, chop to size according to juicer
2. Juice the pineapple, cucumber, mint, lime and ginger by feeding produce through your juicer
3. Transfer juice to a glass. Add the maple syrup and water and stir well
4. Serve and drink immediately, or store in a tight sealed glass jar in the fridge. You can top with fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!

4. Summer Sunshine Juice

You will need:
5 oranges
5 large carrots
1/2 thumb size of ginger

1. Wash produce, chop to size according to juicer
2. Feed produce through your juicer
3. Drink immediately or store in a glass in the fridge

 

5. Glowing Green Juice

You will need:


4-5 stalks celery 

1/2 cucumber 

3 green apples

1/2 lemon

1/3 cup mint leaves

1/2 cup parsley leaves 



1. Wash produce, chop to size according to juicer


2. Feed produce through your juicer

3. Drink immediately or store in a glass in the fridge

 

Watermelon Icy Poles

You will need: 1/2 small-medium sized watermelon
2 apples
2 oranges

Icy pole moulds

1. Slice up oranges (discard skin) and slice up apples
2. Feed oranges and apples through your juicer
3. Pour orange and apple juice mix into the bottom on the icy pole moulds, freeze for 2 hours
4. Slice up watermelon (discard rind) and feed the melon through your juicer
5. Pour melon juice into moulds and freeze overnight
