EVERY TIME YOU EAT IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO NOURISH YOUR BODY
By: Shan Cooper
Every time you eat is an opportunity to nourish your body
Let’s be honest though, some days you have neither the time nor the inclination to pull out all the stops and create “Masterchef” cuisine.
Besides, you’re fresh out of fermented-sprouted-activated-supercharged-unicorn dust to rustle up any kind of magical superfood extravaganza.
Frustrating isn’t it? Let’s have a big cup of coffee and think about it.
We all want to nourish our children, families, loved ones and ourselves with minimum fuss and deliver as much nutritional bang for our hard
earned bucks as possible. Eating healthy food need not be time-consuming or expensive and it doesn’t necessarily require the
latest superfood to hit the market.
For me it’s all about real food
Let me explain. We’re talking about the wildly colourful things you find at the fruit shop, or the butcher, or the fish market. Pure produce
that doesn’t come packaged with a confusing, unpronounceable list of ingredients a foot long. We’re talking about plain, old fashioned
food that your great Grandparents would recognise and applaud you for putting on your plate. Pure unadulterated food that is good for the
body and the soul. Food that makes you feel absolutely fabulous from the inside out.
I have a dream…It’s about a magic unicorn who transforms our kitchens into healing laboratories
But seriously, do you know what would be truly awe inspiring?
To see a wonderful world of healthy people, happy, energetic and capable of doing whatever it is they dream of achieving.
People not plagued by debilitating illness, inflammation, obesity, diabetes, heart disease, cancer and cognitive dysfunction.
Like you, I have no desire to watch the people we love suffer at the hands of preventable diseases. No one wants to be sick, they just don’t
know how to prevent it or start the process of healing by natural methods. Sadly, many people do not understand the importance of nutrition
so they continue to feed their body garbage and wonder why nothing changes.
Our bodies are amazing machines they have the ability to heal and repair if we provide them with the right foundation to do it.
Food is that foundation.
Food is our medicine or our poison.
Are you with me?
Then let’s get cooking & chopping!
