Superfood Beauty Collagen Truffles

It's all about balance right? Which is why we couldn't resist creating these Beauty Truffles that are oh-so-delicious and packed full of the good stuff. Like collagen, here to support healthy hair and nails and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Add in some maca powder and optional mushrooms and you've got yourself a superfood truffle party.

Ingredients

1 cup of Natures Delight Organic Walnuts (preferably pre-soaked overnight, drained and rinsed) 
1 cup dates (preferably soaked in hot water so they are nice and soft) 
1 tbsp Coconut Oil
1 tsp Natures Delight Organic Cinnamon Powder
 1/4 cup Grass Roots Organic Cacao Powder
1/2 tsp Raw Food Factory Vanilla Bean Powder
1/2 tsp Salt Of The Earth Fine Celtic Salt
2-3 tbsp favourite nut butter: almond, cashew, macadamia or hazelnut 
1 tbsp Primal Nature Maca Powder
1 tbsp Locako Collagen Pasture Raised Natural
1 tsp Tonika Organic Mushroom Powder Reishi *optional
1 tsp He Shou Wu Extract powder *optional

Preparation method

1. In a food processor, add the dates and blend until it forms a thick paste. Add in walnuts and all other remaining ingredients and process until all the ingredients are well combined and a dense, wet and crumbly mixture has formed
2. Remove the mixture from the food processor and shape mixture into small balls
3. Place truffle balls on a parchment lined sheet tray, refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour before serving

4. To make the superfood truffles even prettier, you can top them with hemp seeds, cacao nibs, cacao powder and/or rose petals

Notes:

Truffles are best stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
If you don’t wish to wait for the whole hour, you can always pop the truffles into the freezer for 10-15 minutes
